AlburyCity Initiatives for Business Growth

AlburyCity is investing in its future with a number of long-term strategic programs and activities in place to support the growth of the local economy. 

A snapshot of some of the programs currently underway include:

    Murray River Experience

    We're working on enhancing our open spaces to create activity nodes along the river through the further development of children's playgrounds, tourism precincts and walking and cycling paths. This project is improving access to the River and increasing usage by both residents and visitors.

  • East Albury Industrial Precinct Masterplan

    This strategic masterplan provides an illustrative layout, design controls and development plan for the future development of the East Albury Industrial Precinct, which is situated five minutes east of the Albury CBD.

    Thurgoona Wirlinga Precinct Structure Plan

    This plan seeks to deliver the orderly development of Albury’s growth corridor in the short, medium and long term. It provides the framework for statutory planning controls, give local communities, developers and other investors greater certainty and confidence about future development.

    Albury Destination Management Plan

    Guiding the development of Albury’s visitor economy, the Destination Management Plan identifies initiatives that will benefit a wide range of stakeholders beyond the tourism sector. A well-managed visitor economy will provide Albury with valuable economic, social and cultural benefits.

    Albury Wodonga Local Business Survey

    AlburyCity, in partnership with the City of Wodonga, conduct an annual survey of local businesses. The results provide the Councils with valuable feedback on the challenges and opportunities being faced by the business community, enabling local issues to be identified and addressed where possible.
