Alcohol Free Zones & Alcohol Prohibited Areas

To enable everyone to enjoy the city safely, Albury CBD and Lavington CBD are alcohol-free zones, apart from exempt areas for outdoor dining.

Alcohol Free Zones relate to streets, footpaths and Council owned car-parks. Alcohol Prohibited Areas relate to parks within Albury. Within these areas, Police have the right to seize and tip out alcohol.

Alcohol Prohibited Areas include QEII Square and Gertrude Colquhoun Park. If you wish to hold a wedding, an event, a conference etc in one of these parks, and you would like to have alcohol at your event, AlburyCity may be able to grant you an exemption.
