Funding and rebates

Albury households, business and community groups may be able to obtain funding to pursue an environmental initiative or project. There are numerous NSW and Commonwealth programs that offer funding in the area of energy, water, waste and natural resource management. The NSW Government also provides electricity rebates for eligible residents.

Rebates

The NSW Government offers a number of rebates to help customers pay their energy bills.
The following rebates are provided to eligible customers:

  • Low Income Household Rebate - for customers who hold eligible concession cards that are issued by the Commonwealth Department of Human Services or the Department of Veteran Affairs
  • Family Energy Rebate - for customers who have received the Family Tax Benefit
  • Life Support Rebate - for households where residents use certain medical equipment that is necessary to sustain life
  • Medical Energy Rebate - for eligible customers who have a medically diagnosed inability to self-regulate body temperature when exposed to temperature extremes.

Waste Disposal

AlburyCity provides domestic rate-payers with four free entry vouchers each year that can be used at the Albury Waste Management Facility. Please refer to information and requirements for your free vouchers.
