Cafe & Youth Space

Works are now complete on the new cafe, at the rear of the LibraryMuseum, comprising 343 square metres of floor space including workshop areas, a café, office and meeting room, toilets and storage while further plans are in place for a deck overlooking QEII Square. The building handover precedes a much anticipated opening later this year.

AlburyCity, together with the Retro Youth Management Committee have been working hard to find a permanent space for the city's young people since the Retro Youth Café closed to make way for the art gallery redevelopment.

The design complements the existing LibraryMuseum building, creating a pavilion atmosphere which activates the northern area of QEII Square as outlined in  the landscape Master Plan.
