Twilight Markets return
Spring is here and that means the return of AlburyCity’s monthly QEII Twilight Markets.
Sixty stall holders have signed up for the first market of the season, which will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday 12 October.
They’ll be offering a range of products, including arts and crafts along with street foods, craft beers, local wines and much more.
AlburyCity Mayor Kevin Mack said the markets offer a smorgasbord of fresh local produce, tasty treats, locally designed clothing, jewellery and keepsakes.
“The QEII Twilight Markets are a great opportunity to showcase local traders and designers and there’s something for every taste,” he said.
“It’s also a great social occasion when visitors get a chance to bag a bargain and catch up with friends in the warm and welcoming surrounds of QEII Square.”
Thursday’s event will feature live music by Canadian music award winning folk/roots duo, Twin Peaks.
There will also be plenty to keep the kids amused, with a puppet show by the Eaton George Theatre Production from 6.15pm, while AlburyCity’s Creative Kids space will offer the little ones a chance to paint their own masterpiece to take home.
And right next door, the MAMA gallery will open late to allow market visitors to enjoy a spectacular cultural experience.
“The QEII Twilight Markets sum up what’s special about our part of the world in spring so I urge everyone to drop into the square, catch up with friends and shop for that special bargain,” Cr Mack said.
The next QEII Twilight Market will be held on 9 November.
