We'll use NSW Government funding to improve and expand this popular community facility at Hovell Tree Park.
The construction of the wood fired oven area project is now complete. The official opening of the project was held on Friday 13 November 2020.

The Wood Fired Oven at Hovell Tree Park holds a number of community bakes throughout the year.
To improve the experience for locals and visitors the following will be completed under the Regional Growth, Tourism and Environment Fund projects.
Design development is complete with construction works commenced in October 2019.

The opening of the Wood Fired Oven was held today. Thanks to students from St Patricks Public School who helped open the new area.

This week the finishing touches were completed on the wood fired oven shelters. The posts were clad with timber, seats and bins installed, barbecues connected, drinking fountain connected and small garden area planted. Th ovens are almost ready for the burning in process. Stay tuned for an opening date.

Concrete works were completed this week. Drainage and irrigation works were also complete. Turf has been laid around the site on the majority of the bare areas.

Concrete works continues under the new shelters

Concrete preparation continued under the new shelters. This first of the concreting works involved the construction of the seat adjacent to Noreuil Parade.

The brick work in the oven building is complete with the roof installed. The landscaping works has commenced with preparation work underway for the concreting while the servicing works continue.

Brickwork around the wood fired oven continued this week with the roof iron ready to be installed.

The pizza ovens arrived today and were lifted into position. The brickwork can now be completed on this building.

The electrical upgrade works has commenced with new mains power installed from Wodonga Place to the Wood Fired Oven. Works also continues on other servicing. Landscape works are due to commence soon.

Roofing material installed on the new shelters. Pizza ovens have been ordered and are due to arrive this month.

Scaffolding has been installed in readiness for installing the roofing material.The laying of pipes for servicing continues.

The oven/storage area brickwork is almost complete. The servicing of the site (water, sewer, electrical and stormwater) has commenced with the installation of underground conduits and pipes.

The steel structures have been erected while the brickwork continues on the oven/storage area.

The site set out is complete with footings installed for the shelters and oven/storage area.

Demolition of the site continues with the removal of the old ovens and surrounding furniture. The existing shelters will be retained.

Demolition continued this week with the dismantling and removal of the redundant shelter. Steelwork for the new shelter is currently being manufactured off site.

The wood fired oven upgrades have commenced. Temporary fencing has been erected with the pavers and picnic tables under the redundant shelter removed.
