As an extension of the Albury Recycling Centre, residents can now drop off small hazardous and problem household waste types for recycling for FREE at the Community Recycling Stations.

The Community Recycling Stations are for NSW residents to safely dispose of household hazardous waste items that can’t go in your kerbside red, yellow or green lidded bins.

The Community Recycling Stations accept household quantities of:

  • Fluro Globes
  • Mobile Phones and accessories
  • Smoke detectors
  • Household batteries

These waste types contain heavy metals and components harmful to human health and the environment so it is important to dispose of them safely and correctly.

If these hazardous waste types are placed in any of your kerbside bins, they can put the health and safety of our waste collection workers at risk. They may also pollute waterways and drinking water if sent to our landfill.
