Help us rise to the recycling challenge
We are in the running to win MobileMuster’s Top Collector award for councils who collect the most mobile phone components within a 12-month period. With phones being accepted till Friday 30 April 2021, drop in your unused mobile phones, charges, and accessories to one of our drop-off points and contribute to Albury’s final count.
MobileMuster recycles all mobile phone components, including all brands of handsets, along with their batteries, chargers and accessories. Free of charge. Join MobileMuster’s nationwide challenge to Go for Zero in March 2021!
How to recycle your mobile phone
Don’t let mobiles go to landfill or waste away in your drawers. You can help reduce e-waste by recycling your old mobiles and accessories with MobileMuster. Simply drop them off at over 3500 public drop off points including all major mobile phone retailers, including Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, and Samsung stores.
Or post them in for free by picking up a reply paid satchel at participating AusPost stores or directly through MobileMuster.
Mobile phones and accessories can’t be recycled in your general waste bins from us. However, we offer collection points at:
- AlburyCity Offices, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury
- Albury LibraryMuseum, Cnr Kiewa & Swift Streets, Albury
- Lavington Library, Northpoint Tower, Griffith Road, Lavington
- Albury Upcycle & Recycle Shop, 565 Mudge Street, Hamilton Valley
- Mirambeena Community Centre, 19 Martha Mews, Lavington
- Orana Community Centre, 40 Cardo Drive, Springdale Heights
If your mobile is still working then consider extending its life by either selling it online or passing it on to friends and family. If it no longer works and is no longer wanted then it is time to recycle it.
