Energy Savings Action Plan
We’re leading by example through our Energy Management Framework and Energy Savings Action Plan, which aim to achieve savings in energy consumption and costs through energy efficiency, innovation and design.
A detailed energy assessment identified a range of cost-effective energy efficiency opportunities that could deliver significant savings for our organisation and the community. Our Energy Savings Action Plan outlines an implementation schedule for these energy saving measures over the next four year period based on management priorities and fiscal responsibility. Energy saving measures includes energy efficiency initiatives (e.g. installing LED) as well as the installation of renewable energy (e.g. solar).
State of the Environment Report
We no longer produce a separate State of the Environment Report. Our annual summary of key performance indicators and progress towards achieving the sustainability and environment outcomes set out in Albury 2030 are reported in our Annual Report.
Pollution Monitoring
The Protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011 requires councils to make pollution monitoring data publicly available. The following reports contain pollution monitoring data on the sewage treatment plants under our care. For each plant, we conduct specific mandatory tests for pollutants in the sewerage system.
You can visit the EPA licence register for more information - you just need to add in the licence number for the individual site (i.e EPA Licence 231 - Sewerage Point 1 Kremur Street).
