About Albury

Albury is located centrally between Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Albury is home to 57,517 people and when combined with neighbouring Wodonga has a population in the order of 100,000 people. Albury has a bustling and diverse economy, extensive medical and health services and a vibrant cultural and artistic scene. The city boasts outstanding sporting facilities, an eclectic dining and café culture, and endless leisure and recreation options. As you will know by now, our surrounding landscape is breathtaking, with mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes all in our ‘backyard’.

Climate

Albury enjoys the diversity of all four seasons. We have the same number of sunny days as the Gold Coast, without the humidity. We have warm, dry summers, mild weather in autumn and spring, and cool winters.

We are Wiradjuri Country

We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people as the traditional custodians of the land on which Albury is located. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and future for they hold the memories, culture, tradition and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that contribute to our community.
