“What is Tinnitus?” you might be wondering.

Tinnitus is the perception of sound heard in one or both ears or the head, without an external source. Tinnitus most commonly occurs due to age-related hearing loss and noise exposure and can become a real problem in people’s lives.

• In Australia, roughly 14-20% of people are estimated to experience tinnitus at some point in their life.
• Notably, 25% of the Australian workforce also experience tinnitus: 15% occasionally, 5% intermittently and 6% constant.
