Help us design Albury's creative future

Thursday 20 March 2025

Arts and culture are all around us, shaping and enriching our communities and daily lives. Now AlburyCity invites you to share your feedback to help craft a strategic vision for our creative future.

The Creative Albury Strategy aims to support the long-term sustainability of the city’s creative and cultural sector, ensuring it continues to thrive for years to come.

“Albury is home to a dynamic, vibrant, and creative community,” said AlburyCity Mayor Kevin Mack.

“We’re seeking the broader region’s ideas and experiences to help build a vision which truly reflects our community’s creative aspirations.”

You can get involved by visiting the Engaging Albury website to share your ideas, complete AlburyCity’s survey, and share which locations you would like to see more creativity and culture by adding a pin to the interactive map.

The community is also encouraged to attend our Weekend of Culture on 22 and 23 March from 10am – 12pm in Lavington and Thurgoona, to enjoy entertainment and activities for all ages.

Take part in creative workshops and enjoy cultural dance, live music, face painting, a sausage sizzle and coffee van on Saturday at Lavington’s Places to Love and on Sunday at Ernest Grant Park. Be sure to keep an eye out for other pop-ups in Albury CBD on Saturday.

The community fun continues next month. Join us in QEII Square on 4 April from 5pm – 8pm. Marvel at the breathtaking skills of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus and be immersed in the captivating sounds of musician Anna Leeworthy and Synthotronica multi-instrumentalist Ania Reynolds.

Attendees can also create their own puzzle artwork and enter the draw to win a prize.

“We encourage you to get involved and share your thoughts as we build a creative future for Albury and the broader region,” Mayor Mack added.

You can have your say until Sunday 6 April. The draft Creative Albury Strategy will be available for public exhibition later in the year.
