While much of the focus this week has rightly been the election to the jobs of Mayor and Deputy Mayor, in the background here at AlburyCity, there is also a lot of work going into attracting people to the jobs on offer within our organisation.
Recently we launched our ‘Be the Connection’ campaign, which you’ll see featured in this month’s All About Albury, as well as in the Careers section of our website.
The aim of this campaign is to highlight the huge breadth of employment opportunities that working at AlburyCity offers, as well as showing what a rewarding place it is to work.
Our roles cover such a broad range of interests and skills, from creative to technical, science to IT, trades to administration, children and young people to community support – the list is almost endless.
We also offer much sought-after working conditions, with a range of employee support measures that aim to maintain the healthiest and happiest workforce we can.
The core of the campaign, however, is the idea that when you work for AlburyCity there is always the sense that you’re part of something much bigger.
We say, “Every position, every person, every department is here for our community and to make a difference to where we work, live and play”.
That connection with the lives of our community, and striving to improve the liveability of our city, is what motivates me to come to work each day.
And I can say with certainty that I’m not alone. My everyday interactions with our people confirm to me that we’re all here for the same reasons: to learn, to grow, to achieve and to create genuine connections with our community.
With city and nature, commerce and culture, community and opportunity, AlburyCity is a place where everyone can find their future.
So, if you’re looking for a change, whether of career, environment or both, I urge you to regularly check our Careers page for opportunities. You never know what you might find!
