Everyone in our community has an important role to play in shaping the city we call home. We all want to build an Albury we can be proud of, and to feel that we’ve all played our part.
We’ve embarked on an exciting journey to develop a new Communications and Engagement Strategy, that will set the direction for how we connect with our community, and we want to hear your thoughts.
Communicating and engaging is about building relationships through two-way conversations. It’s how we can keep you informed about Council initiatives and projects, how your rates contribute to the delivery of works, the methods we use to seek your feedback, and how you can assist with Council decision-making processes.
We have a diverse community that seeks information and has conversations in different ways, and we know this is constantly evolving as technology and preferences change over time.
So, as we develop our new Communications and Engagement Strategy, we’re asking you to complete a short survey to let us know how you want to hear from us, and how you want to provide your feedback.
Do you prefer to do things online, or face to face? Do you prefer traditional mail or email? Are you happy to provide feedback in a group setting or one-on-one? Is it easy to find information about what’s happening in your local area? What topics do you want to hear about most? Do you have any ideas we haven’t yet thought of?
The feedback you provide will be incorporated into the draft strategy which will be presented to Council before you have another chance to provide your feedback on what we’ve heard.
You can complete the survey on the AlburyCity website until Sunday 30 April.
In the meantime, don’t forget to subscribe to our social channels, monthly newsletter, and Have your Say platform to keep informed about what’s happening in your city and how you can be involved.
Stay well and keep connected.
