Amusement devices must meet Australian Safety Standards. Registration is managed by Amusement devices | SafeWork NSW

Amusement devices include but are not limited to: Ferris wheels and roller coasters, go-karts, climbing walls, giant slides, inflatable devices (land and water-born), bungy jumping, bridge swinging and high ropes courses, most manually operated mechanical devices (powered and unpowered), miniature trains
not owned or operated by a model railway society, club or association.

Animals
|
A list of dog friendly parks can be found on our website – otherwise dogs must be on leads at all times.
|
Balloons
|
It is against NSW Law to release 20 or more gas-inflated balloons. AlburyCity uphold the ruling on no single-use plastics and leave permitted areas in a clean and tidy condition.
|
BBQ and BYO
|
Be aware of and comply with the NSW Food Safety and Hygiene legislation. This includes, but is not limited to, the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (specifically standards 3.2.2 & 3.2.3). Any event involving alcohol consumption should be licensed via the appropriate authorities.

Car displays
|

ensure marshals are in place to manage parking and public safety within the space,

use zone one as primary parking area, if more space is required you may spill into zone two,

ensure tree drip lines are kept clear of vehicles movement to minimise ground compaction around tree roots,

event vehicles only permitted,
-
please manage access points as instructed and ensure event area is closed to the public at conclusion.

Catering
|
Food handling is to be in accordance with the Food Safety Standards*, in particular references to food handling controls and health and hygiene requirements. Any event involving alcohol consumption should be licensed via the appropriate authorities.

*The NSW Government has banned unnecessary and problematic plastics from 1 November 2022 to prevent 2.7 billion pieces of plastic litter from entering the environment over the next 20 years. This ban of single use plastics (including plastics labelled as biodegradable or compostable) includes cutlery, stirrers, straws, plates, and bowls and expanded polystyrene
foodware. Please refer to their campaign, ‘Let’s Stop it and Swap it’ for full details of what is included, excluded, and exempt under the ban.

Fireworks
|
to purchase, use, store, manufacture, supply, and transport fireworks you need a valid licence.
- Only eligible, licenced pyrotechnicians will be approved to display fireworks at any event.

Food Trucks
|
please specify below if you intend to have food trucks, how many and which food trucks will attend. Or, please specify if you need assistance in finding food trucks for your event.

Inflatable Structures
|
inflatable structure must meet Australian safety standards. Third party owner/operator must be competent and are to man structure at all times and have the relevant Public Liability Certificate.

Marquee/s or other structures
|
no structure is to be erected without the approval of AlburyCity staff. All structures are to be weighted down, no pegs or steaks are to puncture the grounds surface due to underground services that may or may not be present.
|
Merchandise
|
selling merchandise can be approved with the permit application. Please advise ACC Event staff if you intend to sell any goods and details the goods below.
|
Power
|
not all spaces have power access nor an abundance of power that can facilitate all that might be required. Please specify below what you would need power for and ACC Event staff can assist you with the hire of a generator (at your cost).
|
Stage
|
please indicate stage specifications (size, height etc.) as well as proposed placement.
|
Waste Management
|
if additional bins are required for your event, we can provide details of where appropriate bins can be hired (at your cost).
|
Water
|
please specify if access to running water is needed and ACC Event staff will arrange for a tap key to be collected from the AlburyCity administration building: 553 Kiewa St, Albury.
