Retro Lane Cafe Workshop Booking Request

Retro Lane has two workshop spaces that can be booked for programs, meetings, training sessions, workshops and events. Fees apply for use of these spaces. Please use this online booking form to request a workshop space for your meeting. While we do our best to respond quickly, it may take up to five working days to receive a response from us during peak hours. If you require a workshop space within the next two days, please phone Retro Lane Café on (02) 6023 8390 to check availability.

Catering

We can supply tea and coffee making facilities, and further catering services are available through Retro Café. Self-catering is also permitted in the workshop spaces. If you are self-catering, we will require a satisfactory written risk assessment to be supplied to AlburyCity prior to commencement of your meeting / event.

Parking

There is a free all-day car park five minutes’ walk from Retro Lane Café. Entry is from Wilson Street or Olive Street.

Booking conditions

We recommend allowing half an hour before and after your event for set up and pack up.

Before booking, please ensure you have the following documents ready:

• A Risk Assessment if your meeting or event involves vulnerable people (including adults at risk or anyone under 18), or if your booking includes:
  • catering (e.g. self-catering, in-house, external)
  • alcohol (e.g. serving or consumption)
  • use of equipment (e.g. craft, sewing, tools)
  • physical activities (e.g. exercise, dance)
• A current Public Liability Insurance Certificate with minimum coverage of the amount of $20 million.  
  If you are a non-commercial / non-profit organisation and do not have public liability insurance, you may be eligible to be covered under AlburyCity’s community liability insurance or casual hirer insurance. Eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and requires further discussion with AlburyCity, as per our terms and conditions.

Risk Assessment

By booking a workshop space at Retro Lane Café you are agreeing to:

• Leave the space tidy, ensuring all rubbish is cleared away.
• Turn off all lights and equipment.
• Report any issues with tech or equipment.
• Arrive and depart within booked times.
• Pay a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the booking if you cancel your booking within 24 hours of the booking time.
