Seven local initiatives that enrich our community and celebrate our vibrant culture will share in $23,025 through Round Two of AlburyCity’s Community and Cultural Grants Program for 2024/25.

The funding, part of a $25,000 pool, was approved under delegated authority and in line with AlburyCity’s Financial Assistance Policy and Community and Cultural Grant Guidelines.

Recommendations were provided by an independent assessment panel, which included Councillor Geoff Hudson, Kirri-Lee Larsen from the Red Cross (representing the community sector), and Tahni Froudist from the Flying Fruit Fly Circus (representing the cultural sector).

“Albury is lucky to have so many incredible people and groups working to strengthen our community through unique and innovative projects. Whether it’s supporting young people to gain new skills or bringing diverse groups together through food, music and storytelling, we’re proud to back ideas that make our city more connected and inclusive,” Cr Hudson said.

The Community and Cultural Grants Program is a key element of AlburyCity’s commitment to partnering with community groups and local organisations to deliver the objectives of the Community Strategic Plan – Towards Albury 2050.

Funded projects include:

We’re proud to have supported local organisations and community groups through our Community and Cultural Grants Program, which has injected more than $700,000 into worthy initiatives since 2006. This funding helps bring ideas to life - supporting events and projects which strengthen connection, celebrate diversity and contribute to Albury’s vibrant community.
