Holding degrees from UTS, RMIT, and La Trobe University, Melanie combines theory and practice to create vibrant, participatory artworks that activate public space and foster connection. Her bold visual style and inclusive methodology have shaped large-scale murals, tactile installations, and interactive experiences that celebrate local stories and shared identity.
Driven by a belief that art should be lived and co-created, Melanie’s projects invite audiences to reflect, contribute, and reimagine their surroundings. Her work explores themes of human connection, sustainability, and belonging, and is grounded in the transformative potential of art to build empathy and social cohesion. Through her teaching and consultancy, she champions the role of creativity in shaping more inclusive and connected communities.
