Friends of the Gardens

The Friends of the Albury Botanic Gardens are a passionate group of people who share a love of plants and support the Botanic Gardens.

The Friends of the Albury Botanic Gardens volunteers meet every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10am to 12 noon, to propagate and sell plants at the garden’s nursery.

History: The friends’ group was established in 1997 to promote enjoyment and interest in the Albury Botanic Gardens.

Gardens and collections: Our aim is to increase community awareness of the recreational, educational, and conservation functions of the gardens. The friends group raises funds to enhance the continuing development of this premier community asset.

The friends’ group has plant sales during the week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. During spring and autumn, we have plant sales on Sundays coinciding with music in the garden’s concerts. Our group has made significant financial contributions to the Rose Garden and the Children’s Garden.
